Brava Mamma Duff !!!

Il fatto che la ex reginetta dei teen abbia intitiolato il suo album Dignity. Per primo, è una delle poche star che potessero farlo. Fino a oggi, la duff è una di pochi membri di Hollywood che nn è ancora stata arrestata, mandata inb rehab, o immortalata mentre mostrava le sue parti intime uscendo con fatica da una limousine.
Invece ha fatto una metamorphosi abbastanza pulita dal Piccolo Schermo con Lizzie McGuire sul Dc a attrice di cinema con Cinderella Story e Cheaper by The Dozen. nel frattempo ha inciso 6 CD, e anche se i critici nn sono stati sempre gentilinei confronbti del suo POP, l'album Dignity un po più disco ed electro, e con testi decisamente maturi ed autobiografici--- sta ricevendo finalmente delle critiche molto positive.
Dunque cos'è che rende la Duff così, nonostante sia una veterana dello showbiz a soli 19 anni.
"Suppongo sia mia madre" dice Hilary, "Credo veramente che sia stata lei a rendermi le cose così facili, e a non farmi fare tutte quelle cose."
" Mia Madre e mi sorella, che mi stanno vicine, e anche il fatto che a me importi ciò che pensano.. in più anche avare una madre che nn vuole lo stile di vita che ho io, ma vuole solamente essere mia madre."
Forse è sua madre che dobbiamo ringraziare per la compostezza così giovane, anche se pensare ciò è strano se pensiamo al suo comportamento come Lizzie Mcguire.
" In un certo senso ero molto simile a Lizzie. ma sono sempre stata abbastanza matura per la mia età" dice Hilary quando le viene chiesto quale personalità del suo personaggio le si addice di più: distratta--sfigata-- o diva con dignità.

Non sto a tradurvi il pezzo su come i testi di dignity siano personali e autobiografici xke è già stato detto un sacco di volte, salto subito alla fine dove parla della carriera da Attrice e da cantante.
Quello (nn lasciare che i media ebntrino nella vita privata) è lo spirito che si dovrebbe adottare quando si parla della sua acrriera cinematografica, dato che è quella che seguirà quando e se mai sarà troppo estenuante una carriera da attrice e una da cantante.
Anche se i suoi progetti precedenti si sono aggiudicati una paio di nomination e vittorie dei RAzzie Awards (nn una cosa positiva), ha due film di alto profilo che dovrebbero uscire presto--- presta la voce al cartone animato FoodFight e una parte nella satira politica War Inc.
Ma i fan non devono assolutamente preoccuparsi della carriera da cantante--nn ha mica finito di cantare.
"E' la soddisfazione che ti da avere un pubblico dal vivo davanti a te," Dice Hilary quando le viene chiesto cosa offre essere una cantante che fare l'attrice nn offre. "Avere davanti a te persone che nn parlano nemmeno la tua stessa lingua, che si identificano in te e che sanno a menmoria tutte le parole delle tue canzoni."

It makes perfect sense former tween queen Hilary Duff would want to name her most recent album Dignity.
For one thing, she's one of the only stars her age who could pull it off.
To date, Duff is one of scant few members of Hollywood's new guard who have yet to be arrested, shipped off to rehab, or caught flashing their lady parts to paparazzi while clumsily exiting a limo.
Instead, she has made a pretty smooth transition to popular big-screen projects such as A Cinderella Story and Cheaper by the Dozen from the teen-TV fare Lizzie Maguire. Along the way she's released six CDs, and while critics haven't always been kind to her fluffy brand of pop, the Dignity disc -- awash in electro-clash stylings and heavily autobiographical lyrics -- has been met with mostly positive reviews.
So what is it that keeps Duff, already a showbiz veteran at the tender age of 19, out of the scandal sheets?"I guess it's my mom," says Duff, who plays Scotiabank Place tomorrow night. "I really feel like that is what has made it so easy for me to not have to go through all that. "My mom and my sister being so close to me, and my actually caring what they have to say ... Also having a mom that doesn't want the lifestyle I have, but who just wants to be my mom." Perhaps we have Duff's mom to thank for the pop star's preternatural poise, which seems a bit at odds with the awkward antics she engaged in on the Lizzie Maguire set back in the day. "Well, in some ways I was a lot like that character, but I've also always been pretty mature for my age," says Duff, when asked which persona -- clumsy klutz or dignified diva -- most resembles the real-life Hilary. DIRTY LAUNDRY. Not that she's looking to show all her cards anytime soon. A far more private person than her compatriots, Duff says she found it difficult to air some of her dirty laundry on Dignity. "At first it was scary, because you're like, 'How much do I want people to know?' " explains Duff, who's romantically linked to former Ottawa Senator Mike Comrie. "It's hard to let your guard down when you're so used to having it up, but it got easier." That practice should prove beneficial where Duff's acting career is concerned, especially since it's the outlet she plans to focus on whenever doubling as an actress and a singer grows too demanding. Though her prior efforts have netted her a string of Razzie Award nominations (not a good thing), she's got two high-profile film projects due out this year -- voice-work on the animated comedy Foodfight!, and a part in the political satire War Inc. But fans of her albums needn't worry -- she isn't done with singing just yet. "It's that instant gratification of having a live audience in front of you," Duff says, when asked what recording offers that acting doesn't. "Having people who don't even speak the same language as you relating to you, and singing all the words to your songs."
